We have a very nice 1986 VW Vanagon GL for sale. This isn't something you run across every day. A one-owner, 1986 Vanagon with only 78k original miles! It's really like new. The interior is original and very nice and the exterior matches beautifully in both color and condition. Overall this is like a nearly brand new Volkswagen that runs and drives perfectly.
This van has the rare option of air conditioning! All of the correct a/c components are still intact and the system was recently charged and it blew nice, cold air. But after a short period pressure could be heard escaping from the condenser so the condenser should be switched out for the a/c to be up and running permanently. For an additional $400 a new condenser can be installed by my friend and professional VW Mechanic Pete. Then everything would work as new on the entire car. There is a stereo, nice big side mirrors and plenty of windows to look out of so this is really a comfortable van to drive.
Since this is a one-owner vehicle the van comes with all of the service records since it was new! That is how you can tell the original owner was both caring and responsible. There is a receipt showing that in 1986 when the odometer had 7k miles a new odometer was installed. So even though the odometer reads 71k there are 78k documented original miles. There is also a bra for the front and the original Vanagon service manual that are included with the sale.
This is really a rare opportunity to get such a nice VW passenger van. This one shifts like new and it is really peppy. Check out the videos below! There is room for three belted in people in the rear seat, the middle can hold two seat belted in comfortably and safely, and the front holds two more for a total of 7 comfortable passengers.
