We have the very rare opportunity to offer an unbelievable 1979 Lincoln Continental for sale. Here is a Lincoln car you can hardly believe exists. This is basically a brand new, 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V Collector's Series. The car was bought new by the current owner who has kept it garaged for almost 30 years. It's been a breeze keeping that showroom finish though because it has only been driven 1,065 miles since new. 1,065 miles! The car is still basically right off the showroom floor and as bright and shiny too!
While In my presence the owner unwrapped the "special edition" tool kit from the trunk for the first time ever. I have it on film and you can watch the video below. The clock and the air conditioning both work. Everything that you can think of still works as if it were brand new. The hide-away headlights have only been operated a few times. The seats have barely been sat in. The car has been kept under a soft car cover as time has slowly ticked by.
This unbelievable Lincoln starts right up, runs and drives like a brand new car. You won't find another like it. Not only is the condition of this car unbelievably rare, this is a Collector's Series Continental Mark V. The most obvious difference between this and the Mark V we are more familiar with is the absence of opera windows behind the front door glass. Gold colored grille bars and a padded contoured decklid accent with matching vinyl insert also set the Collector's Series apart from the standard Lincoln Continental. Virtually every Lincoln luxury was provided as standard equipment on these cars.
1979 was the last of a great era in Lincoln cars. 1980 saw a completely different Continental so this car represents the most developed Continental of this body style ever made.
We will start our marketing overseas but anyone is welcome to send in an offer on the car. It won't be cheap, but you would have to build a time machine to ever have a chance at something like this again. - John Snell
