Here is a beautiful 1978 VW Beetle Convertible for sale. This car runs and drives excellently. It is Fuel Injected and it starts and runs perfectly. There is a CD Player and two speakers in the rear of the car so you can soak up the sun while enjoying your favorite tunes from the 70's. This is a car that will really help you appreciate that you are alive! There is nothing like the sun on your face and wind in your hair to make you feel like you've MADE IT!
This nice car has good paint and a very nice interior. The mileage could be original at 45,752 though it is hard to say for sure. The current and previous owner drove the car very infrequently as it was a 2nd car used only for pleasure. The car was originally yellow and there is some evidence of the original color in the engine compartment and under the dash. The front trunk opens hard but it does release by pushing the leaver in the glove box.
There are two owner's manuals included with the car--the original 1978 Volkswagen Manual complete with beautiful color advertisements and there is also a manual for a different year included.
The top is in very good shape with no tears or rips. The top fits nicely. The headliner on the passenger side doesn't fit perfectly as there are some seams (on the inside) that aren't taught. The headliner is clean and otherwise looks very nice.
The car underwent a restoration at some point in its past. The floors are new, correctly stamped solid metal. There are a few areas that do have some rust on the bottom, front of the car. These areas are shown in detail in the close-up photo gallery. The frame rails and rockers have been replaced and are very solid and rust-free.
The seats are very comfortable and are full of padding. The windshield is new and all of the mirrors are intact. The tires are also new, the brake pedal is firm and high and the emergency brake works.
This is a great car for the money. It's fall and we have it priced to sell. We at Sunset Classics LOVE these beetle convertibles and this is one of the nicest we've offered up for sale. And we are not afraid to give someone a good deal on this beautiful, classic Love Bug!
