We finally have another VW Camper Bus for Sale! These classic VW Camper Buses are so fun and lovable that owners tend to hang on to them. Even though nice examples rarely come up for sale, this offering should make the waiting worthwhile.
This is a 1973 "tin top" VW Camper Bus, or "weekender" as they are also called. This bus has all of the features of a normal VW Camper Bus without the pop top. These buses are perfect for a smaller family or couple, and they get slightly better gas mileage than a pop top since they don't have the added wind resistance of a fiberglass pop top. There is no upper canvas to go bad, and these "weekender" versions more easily fit into a standard garage.
The blue paint on this bus looks like a beautiful candy coating. The paint is new and the bus was painted in the original colors. It goes without saying that the interior received one of the nicest renovations in history. Sound deadening was used under the carpet for a more peaceful and quite drive. The headliner is original and it looks better than any restored bus out there. The rear seat folds down into a bed, and there are two tables that fold away making for a functional and spacious interior. There is a sink, multiple tables, spacious storage areas and seating for many. You will love camping and traveling in this beautiful blue and white VW Camper Bus.
The engine in this VW Bus is the improved "pancake" style engine. Buses 1972 and later have more horsepower and a more durable engine. This bus runs on its original 1700cc carbureted motor and it starts, idles and runs great. The bus has new brakes, new tires and it starts, runs, idles and shifts great.
Take a moment to look through the 200 or so photos in the two separate photo galleries below. Enjoy the videos showing the glossy paint and the fun and interchangeable interior. Feel free to call if you have any questions, and thank you for checking out this 1973 VW Camper Bus for sale!! -John Snell
