We have this very spiffy classic 1973 Mercedes Benz 450SL convertible for sale. This car has been family owned for decades. This gently used Mercedes Benz comes with both a hard top and a soft top. It's a great car with service records dating back to the 1980's. It also comes with a shop manual and an owners manual from 1974.
The engine starts right up every time and it runs down the road nicely. I just installed a brand new battery as well. All of the turn signals and brake lights work. It's a fully functioning car that you can jump in and enjoy as is. Riding with the top down in this classy car is a great feeling.

This Mercedes Benz 450SL was originally from Texas and was purchased in the '80s and driven up to Minnesota. I am friends with the owner who brought the car up to Minnesota and he takes excellent care of his cars. The car has been garage stored year round and stored during the winters since arriving in Minnesota. The paint job was done in the late 1980's and it was taken down to bare metal at that time.
The body work was done well because there is no bubbling even to this day. Overall it's a very nice looking car. The paint shows its age here and there and there are some imperfections, but the body is really nice and straight with no dents or dings. The car looks really good from 10 feet away so if you want something you don't have to worry about driving then this car is perfect as-is.
Take some time to look through the close-up photo gallery so you'll get a good idea of the exact condition of the car. The close-up photo gallery will also help you to better appreciate how solid the undercarriage is by viewing the numerous photos of the chassis. The car is originally from Texas and it has the body to prove it.
The front seats were recovered in genuine leather and they are very comfortable. The radio works and the car drives and shifts smoothly. The hard top has some dings in the roof but the car itself is very straight. There may be a pin hole in the muffler but it sounds about how you would expect a large engined Mercedes Benz with a twin pipe muffler to sound. You can hear it run in the videos below.
These are one of the most recognizable classic convertibles out there, and if you've always wanted one this is a great one to get. The well cared for rebuilt engine under the hood will allow you to drive the open roads with piece of mind.
