This classic 1970 VW Beetle Convertible for sale from Sunset Classics not only looks great, but it runs and drives very nicely. This is one of the prettiest colors ever available on a classic Beetle. I've seen a lot of orange cars but this is really a special color. I think VW named this beautiful tone Clementine Orange. You will get thumbs up and smiles wherever you drive this beautiful Beetle Convertible.
Besides the beautiful appearance of this little VW, the biggest attribute on this VW Beetle is how well it runs and drives. The car has all new tires on it and it rides down the road very smoothly. It shifts great and the engine has plenty of pep to get you to all the most fun locations.
There are seat belts up front and in the rear so you can drive a full car of smiling kids or adults safely and comfortably. There is a radio that works, and all the tail lights and headlights work as they should. This car is great on gas and it's easy to park.
As with most cars this age it has had its issues over the years. The support rails (a convertible only feature) are not on the car. There is a support bar attached to the driver's side as you can see in the close-up photo gallery. The floor is very solid and rust-free, but there has been rust repaired on the car in the past. The bottom of the car has been treated and painted up nicely, and the doors close exactly as they should so there is no body sag.
The top is in great shape as you can see from the photos in the close-up gallery. The entire car looks very nice.
The seller of this great little VW has grown to trust it as much as any car he's owned. There is a local VW shop that specializes in air-cooled VW's and they have installed a new carburetor, a new exhaust and as I mentioned the car has all new tires. You should be able to enjoy care-free driving for years to come in this cute Volkswagen Beetle.
The current owner purchased the car locally, but prior to that the car was part of a private collection in Tennessee. It will be the perfect addition to any car collection, or if you just want a fun car to drive around and enjoy, this one is the perfect candidate. It's nice enough to look great on the road, but it's not so perfect that you would be afraid to ever drive it. It's the perfect combination of looks, reliability and FUN!
