We have here a very original 1970 VW Karmann Ghia for sale. I've always been a fan of the Karmann Ghia since I first laid eyes on one. They are stylish and they also carry the good heart (and engine and drive train) of the classic Volkswagen beetle. You'll get thumbs-up every where you go as you stir up memories from those who pass you buy. You'll soon realize these cars have a personality of their own and that they carry a wave of good feelings with them as they drive. If you've ever considered buying a Ghia, or if you've had a classic VW in the past and want to rekindle that nostalgic feeling that can only come from a classic VW, then this is the car for you.
This is a super original 1970 Karmann Ghia. It has the original interior, bias ply tires, and it sits in the beautiful, original color. The original owner treated the car to a life in Virginia near the Coast. The American Airlines worker who bought it new had it painted once to keep things fresh and he took meticulous mechanical care of the car. In the engine photographs you'll notice the tags he put in the engine compartment so that he could keep track of his maintenance. This first owner had a VW group in Virginia that he met with regularly and he was really an enthusiast of his little car. His wife almost came to tears when they sold it, but the love that they gave the car is still with it. It's a real classic that you can fall in love with and it will treat you well in return.
This is a rust free, Southern car that runs and drives like new. The engine has been rebuilt and it starts the second you hit the key.
