This is a nice 1969 Porsche 912 for sale. This Slate Gray Porsche 912 was sold new December 16th, 1968 at Lucksinger Motors in San Luis Obispo, California. The car has had several owners and it has had the pleasure to live in such gentle climates as San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, and San Francisco, California.
As you know, Porsche 912s have four-wheel disc brakes. 912s are lighter and better balanced than the heavier Porsche 911. This car stops on a dime and it has strong and exciting acceleration. This classic sports car stayed in California until the current owner purchased it and drove it back to Minnesota in August of 1999. Since making the drive from California (via Seattle) 13 years ago it has been driven an additional 9500 miles. As a testament to how well the car runs and drives, the current owner has driven the car on several 100 + mile tours in the past few years. In 2011 the car made the 700-mile drive to Lake Michigan and back. To keep the body nice and solid it has been stored every winter since living in Minnesota.
The engine on this Porsche 912 was treated to new pistons & cylinders and a host of other new parts when the mileage was 102,336. More recently the car was fitted with Bridgestone RE960 AS PP (fewer than 4000 miles ago). All oil changes were done with Mobil1 15W50 with the last oil change 1500 miles ago. Current mileage is 136,664 (34k since engine overhaul).
Even though the car comes with receipts from previous owners dating back to when the car was sold new, there are no receipts for any paint work. The current owner had the front clip and rockers repainted June of 2012 due to stone chips. If the rest of the car was ever repainted it was done very well a long time ago with the window rubber out of the car.
