If you know Corvettes, you probably get excited every time you hear of a 1969 Corvette Big Block for sale. This Corvette Roadster has a completely rebuilt 427 ci engine done to factory specs. While the engine was apart, the L89 aluminum heads were visually verified as numbers matching. The VIN on this '69 Corvette is 194679S710968 and the engine block number reads T1206LW 19S710968. The car shines in its original color Monza red. It's hard to argue against the beauty of this color. The paint needs nothing to enjoy as a daily cruiser, but to be a show winner the car would need attention cosmetically. There are various imperfections throughout as highlighted in the photos in the Close-up Photo Gallery located just below this written description. Mechanically the car is very sound, and if you are looking to win trophies at a Corvette event, this car provides an excellent base to start with toward that goal.
The interior is complete and it looks to be original, but it does show some wear. I love the color combination of this car, so if you are looking to build a show winner, this is a great car to work with. The original convertible top is definitely worn. But the car comes with a hard top that looks fantastic on this "Mako Shark" Vette. As far as styling goes, this car is a beauty.
A set of four mounted Firestone Wide Oval bias belted tires come with the sale! They aren't original but they are early '70s and they will help you out on any judged show. The radials that are on the car are in great shape and those obviously are included in the sale as well.
