We are pleased to offer this beautiful 1967 Mustang Eleanor GT500 for sale. Nothing beats the lines of a 1967 Mustang Fastback. The lines of a Mustang Fastback already make for one of the nicest designs in muscle car history. But when this body is outfitted with a stunning grey exterior, PS Engineering wheels and black interior, you have a truly stunning vehicle. We have sold two other Eleanor GT500 Mustangs in the past, and we had to wait over a year before we were able to offer another one and this is it. So you know it’s rare and exciting to find a 1967 Mustang Eleanor GT500 for sale.
This ‘67 Mustang has a Ford big block 429 V8 fueled by a Holly 4 barrel carburetor. The engine roars to life and the sound of the spent exhaust exiting the side pipes is enough to give a grown man chills. Listen to the videos below to hear the engine of this GT500 come to life. The car starts, runs and idles very well.
The previous owner did the restoration on this car, so the builder is not known. But the floors and undercarriage are all painted showing this was a complete and comprehensive frame up restoration.
Nothing quite matches the look of a Mustang Eleanor GT500. This is a nice example and overall the condition is very nice. The car from 5 feet away looks very close to perfect. From 5 feet away (or even 5 blocks away) the car sounds fantastic too. I am going out of my way to make sure the buyer knows every little flaw, but this is a very sharp looking car.
This is obviously a super sharp looking car. But this Eleanor has seen some miles since the frame off restoration. There are a few small cosmetic imperfections that are pointed out in detail in the close-up photo gallery (below these photos). There is a very slight ding by the driver’s side door handle and the driver’s side door handle is slightly loose. The paint is not damaged so a paintless dent removal artisan should be able to fix this inexpensively if it even bothers you. There is some poor feather sanding on the top of the trunk prior to paint and the imperfection shows up in the right light. The imperfections won’t be obvious to everyone, but I have done body work myself so I have a trained eye.
The interior is very nice. The dash components look good and the top of the dash is in good shape. There is a small switch missing to the right of the guages on the front of the dash as shown in the close-up photo gallery. The seats and carpet are in very good shape.
Just about everyone in the World today would love this iconic muscle car in their garage. Here is your shot to have a turn key example without the hassle of finding a starter car and overseeing an expensive restoration. This car is ready to go. I can help with shipping to your driveway.
Take some time to view the photos in the two photo galleries just below this written description so you can get to know every inch of this classic Mustang. You can enjoy videos showing the 429 Ford big block engine in fire-breathing action via the links below. Let me know if you have any questions.
