We have a very fun classic 1966 Dodge Dart GT for sale. There are some cars that are so nice that they can be a burden to own. In my personal collection I find that the nicest of my classic cars get the least use! So there is definitely something to be said for a nice, presentable and reliable daily driver. That is what you see here for sale. This is a car that you can jump in and drive and not have to worry about where you park, what the forecast holds, or if your drive includes a gravel road or two.
This car can handle most anything without causing worry or stress. The whole family can jump in this car and go cruising and kids will love you for your relaxed and calm attitude. This classic Dodge convertible is meant for fun and it delivers.
With that said this car has still been treated well over the years. The current owner has had the car for nearly two decades and he has made many improvements over the years. This Dart received a brand new top in 1996 and he has always kept the car garaged. The power top is in good working order and there is a video showing the comfortable ease by which the power top goes down to let the sun in. The interior was also recovered with new upholstery in the same year. The front bumper was re-chromed around the same time.
On the mechanical side the car sports a remanufactured engine and a rebuilt transmission. Both of these drive train elements have approximately 60k miles on them. The engine is a 225 Slant Six with a nicely tuned 2 barrel carburetor. The transmission is a 904 3 speed automatic with column shifter.
Earlier this year (2009) all of the wheel brake cylinders were replaced so the car stops straight and true. The engine starts right up and runs strongly and smoothly through the gears. The car rides on tires that are nearly brand new. The wipers (w/ washer fluid function), lights, blower motor and defroster all function as they should making this a convenient and reliable daily driver.

As with many older Mopars the fuel gauge and the odometer are not working. I have a classic '67 Dodge Coronet convertible in my personal collection and the same two components do not function in my car. But as long as the top goes down and the car cruises safely and comfortably down the road there is plenty of enjoyment to be had!
