We have another fine 1966 VW Bus for sale - a split-window bench seat bus. This is one of two 1966 VW Buses commissioned by Mello Yello for a Nation Wide Promotional Tour for use during the summer of 2010. These two 1966 VW Buses will be sold at auction this September of 2010. This 1966 Kombi VW Microbus was restored specifically for this Mello Yello promotion. A fellow VW Club member had been working to restore the bus but he had run out of steam and funds. Sunset Classics purchased the bus and finished the restoration. The classic split window was sent to the paint shop where it was painted inside and out. After paint the bus was then assembled and a newly refinished interior was installed. The bus has a new headliner, new seat upholstery, new door panels, and new floor mats.
The VW Bus has all new brakes (including lines, hoses, shoes and wheel cylinders). The bus has an air cooled 40 hpr engine. There is all new window rubber and door rubber throughout the bus and a fresh new front bench seat (or 1/3 2/3 front seat as it is also called)
