We have a beautiful 1960 MGA 1600 Roadster for sale. It is being sold from a private collection here in Minneapolis. This 1960 MGA 1600 was restored by the previous owner and the car has not even seen rain since the restoration. The previous owner was an executive for a large grocery store chain here in the Twin Cities and no expense was spared in bringing this beauty back to its showroom appearance. Factory original parts were used whenever possible and the cost to restore the car back in the '90s was over $40,000. Since the restoration the car has been meticulously maintained by the same mechanic for the last 16 years. The mechanic who knows the car better than almost anyone believes the mileage to be accurate and original at 90,900.
Since the car was restored it has been treated like a masterpiece. It has been driven only a few hundred miles per year since the restoration and all switches, lights and gages work perfectly. The transmission is the original non-sycro style 4 speed manual. This is a very nice, beautifully crafted classic MGA and it looks as nice in person as it does in these photos.
A restored top and frame come with the car, as do new side curtains and a tonneau cover. The top frame is beautifully painted and the fabric appears new. There is one mouse sized hole in the otherwise new fabric. The top has never been mounted on the car since it was finished as this has been a fair-weather driver.
Mechanically the car is excellent and the body is rust-free. There are a few small imperfections in this otherwise immaculate automobile. There is a stone chip in the windshield. There is one spot on the grill where the chrome isn't perfect, and there is a paint imperfection on the driver's side rear fender just behind the door as shown in the photographs.
