Beautiful Rare Early Mopar, Life-long Southern Kansas Car!

This is a rare and very uniquely styled 1957 Dodge Coronet Lancer 2 door Hardtop for sale. This car screams with late 1950's visual styling--it's a true survivor from an era cherished in automotive history.

The original wheels with bias ply tires come with the car. Also included is a set of flippers/fiesta style hub caps that fit the stock wheels and the standard Dodge full size hubcaps. The wheels currently on the car are tru-spoke wheels fitted with radial tires (I was told these wheels were a dealer option).

This Coronet Lancer has a 325ci Poly engine producing approx. 320 horsepower with the two barrel carburetor. The '57 Red Ram Hemi engine was only rated at 285hp according to classichemi.com! (The early Hemi engines and Poly Engine shared the same block.) The block number on this engine is KDS-270817.

The valves have been reground and hardened so no lead additive is needed. The engine really couldn't run better--it starts RIGHT up and it runs smoothly at any speed or rpm. This Coronet comes with a push button 2 speed Power-flite transmission. The chrome on the car is in good shape. There is some pitting in the pot metal as would be expected on a car this age. The chrome has some staining in the front bumper but the rest of the chrome has held up nicely and the whole car has a great shine.

The interior seems to still have the original seats and the fabric is in suprisingly good condition. The dash is beautiful and it features a centrally located swivel ash tray! The carpet has been replaced at some point and it shows some wear by the pedals. The rest of the black carpet looks nice and clean.

This Classic Dodge is very solid. It has great rocker panels and solid wheel wells. There is one spot on the floor that has been patched but the car is a nice sothern Car (It had been a life-long Kansas car until earlier this year). Please check out the close-up gallery to really appreciate how solid this rare early Coronet really is! There are three items not shown in the galleries: the original sack for the windshield wiper fluid (which is included) and the missing lens in the interior dome light has been repaired and reinstalled. Also the side mirrors are back on the car replacing the dummy spot lights shown in the photos. So this car is complete and ready to Enjoy!

This beautifully detailed engine really runs great. Be sure to hear it run in the videos below. The car runs, drives and stops very nicely and everything works except for the original radio. The car looks extremely nice. The paint is a beautiful color and it looks great on the car. This car is nice and straight! I do body work and it would be a lot of work to get a car with this much real estate to not wave back at you!
